| The Lowlands are at the western end of the lagoon and include both the Dutch and French Lowlands (Terres Basse en Francaise). This is a panoramic picture taken from the balcony of the Caribbean View Condo at Sapphire Beach Club. The Dutch side really is low, but the border is a steep climb up Mount Rouge (in the center of the picture) and then a bit of twisting around the mammelles, a pair of smaller hills at the far right. This is where many of the French villas will be located. |
